Frequently Asked Questions

  • What insurance do you accept?
Currently, I am unable to accept any insurance, but am able to provide billing documents for you to submit for reimbursement as an out-of-network provider.  Reimbursement rates vary depending on your individual plan.

  • Do you offer sliding scale, payment plans, or other financial assistance?
As a commitment to economic justice, I follow a Pay-As-You-Can, Honor-Based sliding scale, and you can learn more about this
    HERE.
I am always happy to arrange a payment plan.
You can learn more about the GALAP letter-writing project
    here.
You can find more information about help with expenses like medication costs and insurance reimbursement here.

  • What are your fees for consulting, lectures, or presentations
Based upon my extensive professional and lived experience, my consultation and presentation fees begin at $500/hour (plus travel as required), with a sliding scale for registered nonprofit organizations and other similarly situated donation-funded community organizations.

  • What is the youngest age of clients you accept?
In the past, I have worked with children as young as 7.  Presently, I see clients on a case-by-case basis as young as 13.

  • Where can I learn more about the disability accommodations at your office?
I am happy to offer telehealth assessments at this time for health safety.
In the Cincinnati area, I can offer in-person assessments at a wheelchair accessible office. Please contact me for more information.

I am no longer requiring my clients to wear a mask for face-to-face appointments; however, I am happy to provide evidence of recent negative COVID-19 test results and am vaccine-compliant with COVID and Flu vaccines.  Please let me know in advance if you would prefer me to wear a mask for our assessments.
Masks are readily available in our office for your comfort and the protection of others.

I am always happy to work with individuals who require or prefer to use AAC.

In-person assessments take place in a low-odor office with adjustable lighting, using sound-blocking technology to limit disruption from external noise.  You are welcome to bring a support object, fidget, or service animal. Please get in touch with us to discuss bringing a well-behaved non-service animal. We WANT to make this a supportive environment for you.

For all other accommodation needs, please don't be afraid to reach out.  Email is preferred.
